Our mechanical designs, 3D models, schematics, and manufacturing drawings are released under the CERN Open Hardware License – Permissive (CERN‑OHL‑P).

• Clearly mark any changes

This license keeps the hardware ecosystem open while still supporting commercial use.

Software Licensing

All firmware, robot control software, cloud modules, and supporting code are released under the Apache‑2.0 license.

• Use, modify, redistribute, and commercialize the software
• Receive an explicit patent license
• Keep copyright + license notices
• Note significant changes

Apache‑2.0 is widely used in industry and ensures the software remains open, safe to build on, and friendly for commercial developers.

Documentation Licensing

Assembly guides, wiring diagrams, tutorials, and educational materials are released under CC‑BY 4.0.

• Share and adapt the documentation
• Use it commercially
• Provide attribution to Blueberry Robotics LLC

This license ensures educators, makerspaces, and robotics teams can freely use and remix our documentation.

Why Three Licenses?

Hardware, software, and documentation are legally different types of creative works. Using the correct license for each:

• Gives builders and developers clear rights
